Autumn Thermos Vignette in the Kitchen

The autumn spirit has not hit me yet but I finally got around to making a vignette in the kitchen this past weekend.   Just doing that little bit did inspire me to do a little more.  I’ve started working on my autumn mantel.  This is usually a three-day process.  I’m very methodical or maybe I’m just slow.  Any how, I’m here today to share what I’ve done so far.

Thermos Vignette 3

The small silver ribbed thermos and the large green Stanley thermos are thrift store finds.  The other two thermos came from the Treasure Hunt.

When I saw the orange and brown thermos I bought it right away for an autumn vignette.  It was sitting right next to the small green one which I passed up.

Autumn Thermos Vignette

As you see I returned for the little green thermos.  It works here for autumn and will also work for a Christmas project.

Wheat just says autumn to me.

Thermos Pumpkin

These little orange gourds are staples in my house during autumn.

Autumn Gourds

In addition to the thermos vignette my grandson and I picked out these gourds over the weekend so autumn has finally arrived at the Blue Willow House.  More autumn inspiration to come.

Please be sure to come back soon.  If you don’t already subscribe to my blog be sure to sign up by e-mail on the right, so you will never miss a post.  Thank you for visiting.

Always,

  1. Darling idea using Thermos for color and containers.

  2. Now, that’s just simply cute and very fall-like. I like it!

  3. What a unique way to bring fall into the kitchen! I LOVE IT!

  4. What a cute idea for the thermoses! I love vintage thermoses and have a few of them. I have one tucked away in an old picnic basket and use it when we go on a picnic.

  5. What a fun display! Perfect for the pumpkins, and I love the wheat!

  6. Who would have thought to use a thermos in a vignette…it works wonderfully!
