Pottery Barn Inspired Mummy Pillow

Pottery Barn’s Mummy pillow is so adorable that I wanted to make one myself.

Isn’t this just the cutest thing ever?

Here is how I made my little mummy pillow.  I wanted a smaller version of the mummy pillow so I bought a travel pillow to mummify.  I purchased a set of plastic glow in the dark wiggle eyes and two yards of muslin and tore it into 3 inch strips.  Since the pillow was already white I didn’t cover it. Now you are ready to start putting the pillow together.

Mummy Eyes

Glue the plastic wiggle eyes about one-fourth of the way down the wide side of the pillow.

Mummy first few strips

Start gluing the strips of muslin in an irregular pattern but don’t cover the wiggle eyes.  Leave them as if they are peeping out from under the bandages.  Don’t forget the eyes glow in the dark.

Keep adding the strips of muslin until the pillow is completely mummified.

Let me ask you again.  Isn’t this just the cutest thing ever?

ps  I have enough muslin strips left to do another small pillow.
