Pink Teacup Wreath a Thrift Store Transformation

Do you sometimes wake up feeling a little crafty?  Well today I did.  In fact I have several projects in the works.  Today I’m sharing my little pink teacup wreath a thrift store transformation (TST).

Title

Here is how it all started.

Pink Wreath

This little pink vine wreath was a thrift store purchase a while ago.  It was probably about seventy-five cents.

Desert Rose Demi Cup

The Franciscan Desert Rose demitasse cup and saucer are also a thrift store find for less than two dollars.  I am always looking for ways to use my teacup collection in unique ways.

Succulent

I had a faux succulent from Hobby Lobby in my stash that had a bit of pink on the leaves.

Teacup Succulent

First, I glued the succulent into the cup

then I glued the teacup to the saucer and finally I glued the whole thing to the wreath.  OK, that was a mouthful.

I debated about adding a ribbon but in the end I decided it would be too much.

This was a quick and easy project and I absolutely love the results.

I’m glad you stopped by today to see my little pink teacup wreath and be sure to come back soon.  If you don’t already subscribe to my blog be sure to sign up by e-mail on the side bar or Hello bar at the top, so you will never miss a post.  I would love for you to follow me on Pinterest here and Facebook here.  Thanks for visiting and come back soon!

  1. Hi, Sharon,
I LOVE your teacup wreath! I, too, have a teacup collection and need some ideas on how to display it without it looking like I’m having a garage sale featuring cups and saucers! I have a couple of racks, but now they’re spilling on to my bay window and coffee table. How do you display your collection? I’d love some more ideas. Thanks, Rosie @ The Magic Hutch

  2. I grew up with those dishes and have such fond memories. Cannot wait to see the next project, too.

  3. Those individual elements all work great together! Very nice project.
