For the next few months I am changing up TTT since I have limited thrifting time during the summer months. Instead of showing you a lot of thrifted items I will be highlighting a special vintage find each week.
Do you remember last year when I discovered A New Way of Thrifting online with ShopGoodwill? Recently, I looked at a few items up for auction at ShopGoodwill and found this Kodak Brownie Hawkeye flash outfit.
Luckily, I won the auction. The camera outfit arrived last week and I couldn’t be happier. This adorable little camera is not going to the booth but is an addition to my growing vintage camera collection. I know, I have too many collections.
All the camera and accessories arrived in the original battered and taped box.
The box held the camera, flash bar, instructions, battery box, 2-way flashguards, a roll of film, and flash bulbs.
Considering their age the camera and accessories are in amazing condition.
The box included two instruction booklets and
a roll of unused film that is decades past its expiration date.
These little plastic hoods are protectors to place over the flash attachment to make safer and more pleasing photos at least according to the wrapper. See the statements on the 2-way flashguard wrapper.
The flash hood gives advise to the photographer for proper use of the camera and flash attachment.
My grandson is demonstrating the viewfinder on the top of the camera. He finds it quite intriguing.
I am loving this little camera more and
more and you can expect to see it in a vignette soon.
I’m glad you stopped by today to see my vintage Brownie Hawkeye camera.
