Are you as ready for Spring as I am?

Jumpstart Spring title

Even though it is cloudy and misty today, I’m doing a couple of quick Spring vignettes to get out of the doldrums and to share with you.  Everything just looks so bare with all the Valentine decorations put away.

Easter Post Card 1

First, I went through my vintage postcards to find some for Spring and Easter.  This white, green, and silver Easter postcard inspired a whole vignette.

White VIgnette

Since I wanted to keep the same colors I put a preserved white hydrangea in an ivory colored urn and placed it on top of couple of white books.  One of the books even has a green binding.  A silver flower frog is holding the postcard so the last element I added was a white distressed bunny that was a Target Dollar Spot find.

Easter Post Card on book

This pretty German postcard translates to “warm Easter greetings”.

Jadeite Vignette

In the dining room I put together a small Jadeite and rose vignette.

If these three vignettes haven’t inspired you, check out these posts from past years for more inspiration.

Tete Daffodils 7

What says Spring more than A Terrarium of Tete-a-Tete Daffodils?

Blue Willow House Tea Cup

Planting Succulents in Teacups helps prepare me to work in the garden and plant flowers outside.

St. Patrick's Day Mantel 2

Even though I was going to skip decorating for St. Patrick’s day this year, my 2015 St. Patrick’s Day Mantel is nagging at me to decorate at least a little bit for the Irish in me.

Easter Vignette

If you are skipping St. Patrick’s day and moving on to Easter A Thrifted Easter Vignette might get your creative juices flowing.  It even includes my 2015 Easter mantel.

  1. Hi Sharon, What a beautiful post! Love the pinks with the jadeite. And of course I like your postcards and how you used to flower frog as an easel. 🙂 The plate in in the window picture is quite lovely too! Have a great week ahead!

  2. Your vignettes are so charming–it’s hard to pick a favorite!

I have that flower frog, I love it for displaying photos. Target Dollar Bin, really? Yay for you:) Love that St. Patty’s Day mantel ~ I’m Irish in case you hadn’t guessed:) All your vignettes are lovely. xo Kathleen

  4. I had to laugh when I saw the “frog” Sharon. I just packed one of those this week and now I shall have to copy your idea as I have vintage postcards too. Mine was my grandmother’s as she had a few of those frogs. What a darling, fun posting and I am so glad you shared!!!

  5. Hi Sharon, you are way a head of me with Spring coming, maybe if I do a few Spring vignettes it will come faster! lol Your are so beautiful and calming. Have a wonderful week. xx Jo

  6. The white vignette is my favorite. It whispers spring is close.

  7. I love the Jadeite vignette! That green is so lovely and just says spring to me.

  8. Just today I was wishing for an antique postcard or something pretty to put in one of my flower frogs. Maybe I’ll jump over to Graphics Fairy and make one. 😉

Your spring decorations are beautiful! That jadeite piece is so pretty.

I’d love for you to join us at Thoughts of Home on Thursday morning at 6 CST.

  9. Such beautiful spring/Easter decorating Sharon. I love your sweet post cards and that initial neutral/white vignettes is gorgeous!

    • Thanks Diana. I got these two Easter postcards from Donna (Distressed Donna). Recently, I bought a lot of Vintage Christmas and Easter postcards that I will share soon.

Love your spring vignettes Sharon! I am slowly pulling mine out. Today I filled my glass cabinets with my jadite collection. I’ll add touches of Easter as well. Love yours paired with the roses! Thanks for sharing with SYC.

  16. Your vignettes are all so pretty. My favorite is the one with the window, the ironstone and the cute ceramic bunny.

  17. My dear Sharon, what a beautiful and inspiring post. You always share such beauty and I must say that you have motivated me to get my home ready for spring 🙂

Thanks for sharing with Roses of Inspiration. Hugs!
