A Thanksgiving Tablescape

This Thanksgiving tablescape is from 2012 before I started blogging.  I’m not having a huge Thanksgiving this year so I’m not setting a Thanksgiving table at all but jumping directly into Christmas décor on Black Friday.  My 2012 Thanksgiving table was in my kitchen dining area.TableSources:  The Thanksgiving china is Royal Stafford made in Burslem England and I found it at TJ Maxx last year.  The round wooden charger and the Portmeirion Botanical Garden flatware came from Homegoods.  I found the large white square porcelain chargers on sale at Wal-Mart for $9.99 each.  The acorn napkin rings also were a Wal-Mart find.  The brown goblets are vintage Lenox stemware I found thrifting for $.99 each.  I already had the white caterers napkins.Thanksgiving placesetting

The centerpiece is a simple compilation of a white pumpkin and colorful fall gourds along with some faux fall leaves in a moss-covered square natural vine tray.
Just a few more Thanksgiving photos from around the kitchen in 2012.

So that’s what things looked like around the kitchen last year.  Now a few photos from this year.  For various reasons some good some not so good I never made it to the Pumpkin Patch this year but Wal-Mart came through for me with an assortment of pumpkins and gourds.
I love the blueness of this gourd.

I love these two in the dough bowl together.  The dough bowl was my grandmother’s.  She received it as a wedding gift in the 1920’s.  I cherish it with all my heart.

I purchased these two pumpkins at Wal-Mart back in September.  They have served triple duty in my Autumn Mantel here, Pottery Barn Inspired Halloween Mantel here and they are still going strong on my front porch.

The little white boo pumpkins were the hardest for me  come by without going to the Pumpkin Patch but Kroger had some in late October.  So I picked up a few and placed some of them in a blue conservatory along with some cotton ball stems.

I also picked up a few faux pumpkins this year.
