Fun Finds at Target

If you have followed me very long you know I love Target.  So I just had to show you the goodies I found on a recent trip.  First here’s what I found at the “dollar spot.

Chalkboard gift tags edged with silver and gold 8 in a package for $1.  I couldn’t have made them myself for that amount.

These burlap wrapped metal buckets caught my eye.  When I saw they had Ho Ho Ho painted on the front they were coming home with me.  They will make perfect containers for little Christmas gift baskets.  Won’t they be lovely filled with goodies, wrapped in clear cellophane and tied up with a nice Christmas bow?

There was a mother daughter team going through a bin speaking in excited hushed tones. When they finally moved away I spotted this beautiful baker’s twine.  There were two choices aqua and white or ivory and gold twine for a $1 a spool.  Each spool has 10 yards and boy do I have plans for this twine.  It is a quick project inspired by a Target Christmas doodad I saw on this same trip.  I am sharing it with you soon.

I grabbed the last two of these adorable gift bags.

The Christmas department was calling my name so I tore myself away from the $1 items.  As I wandered the Christmas aisles I found Chevron red and white beverage coozies that are large enough to cozy up to a bottle of wine for gift giving.  They also had a smaller drink coozie that looks like a familiar jolly old elf.  These two styles were $3 each.  They had a few other styles that were $5 which doesn’t exactly break the bank either.

Christmas gift wrap is not on my list since I have plenty but I always need new tags.  These fabric gift tags with embroidered Christmas icons are charming.  A package of 12 gift tags is $4 with coordinating envelopes.

Then I couldn’t resist these cutout wooden tags sold in a reusable divided wood box.  They are incredible.  There are 24 in the box for $3.

Have you heard about Scentsicles?  They are scented ornaments that you can hang on your artificial Christmas tree, place in your wreaths, or hide in holiday decor to make your home smell like you are using fresh evergreens.  There are several scents to choose from.  I chose White Winter Fir and my whole house smells wonderful.  There are six ornaments in a container for $7.

The last purchase I want to share with you is a Merry Christmas banner made from felt with hand stitching.  I forgot to make a photo of it for this post so I went to Target’s website for a photo.  The photo does not do this banner justice as you will see later when I share more Christmas  photos.
